Slowing it Down

Here’s something a bit different than the usual pf fodder you’ll find here: a nice article on slowing down and bit and finding time to learn and master the more important things in life. If anything, it presents an implicit challenge to the overconsumption that grips most Americans, thus a nice budgeting tip if anything else.

But, actually the article is a great reminder to us who are caught up in the frenetic, and oftentimes vacant, rush through life to slow down: “Ultimately, I believe that slowness is an act of resistance, not because slowness is a good in itself but because of all that it makes room for, the things that don’t get measured and can’t be bought.” That’s good stuff there.
